Welcome back Cougar Nation!
We are off to a wonderful start at Tony Gonzalez Elementary with teachers working diligently leading up to the first day of school. I want to thank all the parents that came out to Meet the Teacher before school started. Monday saw our campus buzzing with excitement of students catching up with their friends and excited to meet their new teacher. The first couple of days we reviewed classroom and campus norms.
I want to thank you all for ensuring your child has been in attendance each day. As we move forward to September, I want to remind you of our monthly Istation assessments which will begin on Monday. Istation assess our students on Reading and Math to provide our teachers with real time data to guide instruction and interventions.
I would like to highlight our focus this year to strengthen the relationship between the campus, the community and our parents. Please first reach out to me with any concerns, suggestions or observations and a possible solution. I invite parents to go through the process with our district to volunteer on campus. We are always here to work together as a community to improve.
