Welcome Cougar Nation!

We are in the fifth week of Hispanic Heritage month where we are honoring the culture and contributions of both Hispanic and
Latino Americans. Teachers have been sharing and discussing history, heritage, and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latino
Americans of past and present. I encourage you as parents to have those discussions with our children as well.

As a community we celebrated the burning of the SM as we prepare for our homecoming game tonight. We will also recognize
our teachers at tonight's game which has been designated as Teacher Night. At TGE we are bringing about awareness of
different colleges by decorating our doors with different colleges. We will announce the winner today on our webpage.

Next week we will have our Book Fair for our students and invite our fathers to Doughnuts with Dads early Wednesday morning
from 7:15-8:00 am in our library. I hope to see you there! This week in also School Bus Safety week and our students will be
treated to a presentation.

This week we set forth preparing for our benchmarks in November and our teachers are working on lessons each day. Istation
has wrapped up and will be sent out this next week. This data will be used to guide instruction, tutorials and Saturday Academy.
I ask for you to please make every effort to ensure your child is in attendance if they are invited. Follow us on Class Dojo, TGE
webpage for other dates and updates.

I would like to highlight our focus this year to strengthen the relationship between the campus, the community and our parents.
Please first reach out to me with any concerns, suggestions or observations and a possible solution. I invite parents to go
through the process with our district to volunteer on campus. We are always here to work together as a community to improve.
